COURSE OVERVIEW
In this course, you will learn how to safely and respectfully dive with manta rays and other ray species, gaining the skills to identify different types based on their physical features, behaviors, and habitats.
You’ll explore the vital ecological roles that rays play in maintaining the health of marine ecosystems, from controlling populations of bottom-dwelling organisms to nutrient cycling in the ocean. Through engaging academic sessions and optional in-water training, you will develop a deeper understanding of the threats rays face, including overfishing, habitat loss, and climate change.
