COURSE OVERVIEW
Take your diving to the next level with the SSI DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) Diving Specialty program! This exciting course teaches you everything you need to know to safely and confidently dive with an underwater scooter or DPV, opening up a whole new world of exploration and fun beneath the waves.
During YOUR SSI DPV diving program you will learn the essential skills and knowledge required to plan and conduct dives using DPVs. This includes understanding the specific procedures and safety considerations when using propulsion devices, managing your equipment, and maintaining effective communication and buddy contact while in motion.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in how to: Properly operate and control a DPV underwater, Handle emergency procedures specific to scooter diving, Navigate efficiently and conserve energy, Manage depth and buoyancy while using a DPV, Care for and maintain your DPV to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Whether you’re covering larger dive sites, battling currents, or just looking to enhance your underwater adventures, this course will equip you with the confidence and control to do it all with ease.
Upon successful completion, you’ll be awarded the SSI DPV Diving Specialty Certification — and have a blast doing it!
PREREQUISITES:
Open Water Diver or equivalent
