SIDEMOUNT BACK WEIGHT - XR LINE

The Mares XR Line Sidemount Back Weight is a modular trim-weight pocket designed for sidemount divers who want to place ballast centrally along the spine for improved balance and streamlining. Instead of carrying all your lead on the waist, it allows weight to be positioned close to your body’s centre of gravity, improving horizontal trim and reducing lower-back strain during the dive.  

DESCRIPTION
The Mares XR Line Sidemount Back Weight integrates with the Mares XR sidemount harness system and provides a secure location for up to 12 kg (26.5 lb) of lead. Constructed from rugged 1200D ballistic nylon with a 600D polyester exterior, it is built to withstand abrasion, saltwater exposure, and technical diving environments.  
A heavy-duty dual Velcro closure keeps the ballast securely contained, even in cold-water conditions. The pocket attaches to the harness using three adjustable rear straps and includes top and bottom grommets for modular mounting on compatible sidemount backplates, allowing divers to fine-tune weight placement.
