SSI SCR EXTENDED RANGE
Extend your Horizon and diving capabilities with Aotearoa Dive.
The SSI SCR Extended Range program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and conduct limited decompression dives, using nitrox to a maximum depth of 40 meters and specialised diving equipment and procedures, for a maximum accumulated accelerated decompression time of 25 minutes, with an equally or more qualified dive buddy.

COURSE OVERVIEW
Step beyond the no-decompression limits and expand your rebreather diving skills with the SSI SCR Extended Range program. This program introduces the essential principles of self-sufficiency, redundancy, and decompression dive planning using the Mares Horizon SCR Extended Range rebreather.
At Aotearoa Dive, our expert-led training combines in-depth online learning, detailed classroom theory sessions, and hands-on equipment workshops. You’ll learn how to independently plan and execute decompression dives to 40 meters, with up to 25 minutes of accelerated decompression, using the Horizon SCR Extended Range system.
Under the guidance of your SSI SCR Extended Range Instructor, you’ll master the setup, maintenance, and operation of your rebreather unit in confined water, before applying your skills during a series of open water dives.
