SSI GAS BLENDER
The SSI Gas Blender program teaches the skills and concepts required to safely blend nitrox and/or helium-based trimix blends for mixed-gas diving.
This is a non-diving program that is open to certified and uncertified divers, and teaches the mathematics, physics and techniques required to safely blend breathing gases.
Upon completion you will earn the SSI Gas Blender certification.
COURSE OVERVIEW
The SSI Gas Blender program provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to safely blend nitrox and helium-based trimix breathing gases for mixed-gas diving. This non-diving certification course is open to both certified divers and non-divers alike. You’ll learn the principles of gas physics, blending mathematics, and the proper techniques required to accurately and safely prepare custom breathing gas mixtures.
Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the SSI Gas Blender certification, a valuable credential for anyone supporting advanced or technical diving operations. This course is also valuable to technical instructors or any SSI Instructor for that might want to blend their own tanks! It is also a great course to gain background information for teaching SSI Extended Range, Enriched Air Nitrox and Trimix based programs.
