SSI EXTENDED RANGE
This program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and conduct decompression dives to a maximum depth of 45 meters using gas mixtures up to 100% oxygen with an accumulated decompression time of 25 minutes.
The SSI Extended Range diving program will open up a diverse variety of aquatic environments, increase your dive depths limits, extend your bottom times and train you on new procedures.
Academically you will advance your knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures and theories specific to diving safely with a decompression ceiling.
COURSE OVERVIEW
The SSI Extended Range training program introduces you to advanced equipment configurations and the principles of technically oriented diving. Whether adapting your current setup or exploring new gear concepts, you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to dive safely and efficiently with a specialized Extended Range system.
Under the guidance of your SSI Extended Range instructor, you will develop mastery in critical areas such as advanced buoyancy control, precise propulsion techniques, streamlined equipment management, and effective decompression procedures—ensuring both enhanced safety and an elevated diving experience.
PREREQUISITES
Deep Diver certification or equivalent
Enriched Air Nitrox (40%) or equivalent
Sidemount certification for students using Sidemount configuration (in addition to the above)
Minimum of 50 logged dives
Minimum Age: 18
