SSI Advanced Wreck Diving Program

Descend into the world of wreck penetration diving. Whether you dream of finding buried treasure on an ancient Spanish galleon or exploring WWII relics in Truk Lagoon, becoming an SSI Advanced Wreck Diving program is the start of a fantastic adventure.

Course Overview

The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and conduct limited penetration , no-decompression dives within the daylight zone, to a maximum depth of 30 meters or a linear distance of 40 meters, and using specialised overhead environment equipment and procedures, with an equally-or-more-qualified buddy.

Note: This program is a no-decompression, limited penetration program only.

Learn to use specialised wreck diving equipment including line, reels and markers, gas management concepts and team communication to safely conduct wreck penetration dives.

Prerequisites

  • Open water diver

  • Recreational Sidemount diver or equivalent for students using Sidemount configuration 

  • Be medically fit and healthy to dive

  • Minimum of 24 logged dives  

  • Minimum Age: 15

  • Confined water sessions: 2

  • Academic Sessions: Online learning, dry land session

  • Open Water Dives: 4

  • Max Depth: 30mtrs (or maximum certification depth of the student, whichever is shallower).

  • Time: 2 days
