Extended Range Sidemount Program
The SSI Extended Range Sidemount program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and conduct dives using extended range Sidemount equipment configurations and techniques, within the depth limits allowed by their certification levels, and with an equally or more qualified buddy.
Course Overview
During the SSI Extended Range Sidemount Diving program you will learn:
- Selection and configuring your Sidemount equipment
- New finning techniques
- Gas switching and management
- Emergency skills with Sidemount equipment
- Technical diving procedures
- Decompression theory
- Decompression planning and software
Prerequisites
- Deep Diver certification or equivalent
- Enriched Air Nitrox 40% or equivalent
- Be medically fit and healthy to dive
- Recreational Sidemount diver or equivalent
- Minimum of 50 logged dives
- Minimum Age: 16
- Academic Sessions: Online learning
- Confined Water: 1
- Open Water Dives: 4
- Max Depth: 45mtrs
- Time: 4 days
